A Question About Your Event

I have a ... complicated relationship with nonprofit fundraising events. I've organized my fair share - even some that I am proud of almost 10 years later.

But I also think that events are often an expensive and inefficient way to raise funds. Many nonprofits are stuck in a cycle of putting on generic events that don't celebrate their mission or engage their supporters - but make just enough money to make it difficult to pull the plug entirely.

There are some remarkable nonprofit events out there, and even more talented staff members and contractors bringing these events to life.

So, what separates memorable from meh?

I think it has to do with the questions we ask before, during, and after the event. Questions that …

  • help create clear and compelling event goals

  • build events that help attendees feel something about our mission

  • connect our events to the larger story of our cause

I'll be exploring these questions during a free webinar on June 17. It's hosted by Auctria and will help you design an engaging fundraising event. Register here: https://www.auctria.com/webinar/designing-engaging-events-three-questions-that-matter/

Can't make it on the 17th? No  problem - I'd love to talk about your events and how I can help you do more - and raise more - for your mission. Reply to this post and we'll get started.
