Tuesday, April 4 - I'll be teaching the "Basics of Fundraising" course at OneOC, part of their Fundraising Fundamentals Series. This is a fantastic series that covers topics like grants, ethics, and stewardship. My course will walk through fundraising - from annual giving to planned giving - and look at different ways nonprofits can engage in effective fundraising.
Wednesday, April 19 -- I'll be teaching a course on donor stewardship: "Donor Stewardship: Beyond the Acknowledgement Letter." This in-person course from Charitable Ventures will be all about stewardship - both the formal and personal methods of thanking donors and showing how their gift is being used to further a nonprofit mission. I'll include some action items you can take immediately to get your stewardship going!
Also on Wednesday, April 19 - I will be participating on the 2023 Nonprofit Connect panel organized by Rogue Collective. The panel will discuss ways to avoid burnout and to prioritize self-care in the nonprofit space. My fellow panelists (Susan Kenny from Uplift Yoga Foundation and Haley Cooper from The Savvy Fundraisers) are experts on this topic, so I'm excited to learn from them and share my experiences as a fundraiser and a team leader.
